Thought For the Day

I'm not sure if this is by way of being an arm round the shoulder for the middle-aged, or more of a communal sob but, in any case, Thoreau has it right (again):

"The youth gets together the materials to build a bridge to the moon, or perchance a palace or temple on the earth, and at length the middle-aged man concludes to build a wood-shed with them."

I find this curiously comforting...

I find it comforting too. Sometimes keeping your feet as close as possible to the ground is definitely the way to go!
